Mr Fishing Supplies Review: Quality Tackle and Free International Shipping — Worth It?

I've been bass fishing since I was twelve years old — nearly three decades of early mornings on the water, testing every lure and rig imaginable. When I found Mr Fishing Supplies, I'll be honest: I was skeptical. Online fishing stores come and go, and most of them either overcharge for average gear or underdeliver on quality. After ordering multiple times, I can say this one is the real deal.

What Is Mr Fishing Supplies?

Mr Fishing Supplies is a specialty online fishing tackle shop focused on freshwater and saltwater anglers. Their catalog covers everything from crankbaits, jerkbaits, and spinnerbaits to soft plastics, drop shot setups, braided line, and fluorocarbon. They also offer free international shipping on every order — no minimums — which is genuinely rare in this space.

The Product I've Been Fishing All Season: Bionic Bait Lure

My go-to order this season has been the Mr Fishing Supplies Bionic Bait Lure ($13.00, on sale from $18.00 CAD). This is an ABS hard bait in a classic 11cm/10.5g profile — the kind of weight that casts beautifully and runs at the right depth to trigger strikes from largemouth and smallmouth bass. It comes in 10 color options, which lets you match the hatch for different water conditions and light levels.

I've thrown this bait on a medium-action rod with 12lb fluorocarbon and the action is right — it has that tight, realistic wobble that pressured bass respond to even when they've seen a lot of conventional crankbaits. The colors are vibrant and held up through a full season of repeated casts and fish contact.

The Broader Catalog

Beyond crankbaits, I've ordered soft plastics and braided line from Mr Fishing Supplies. Their soft bait selection is solid for bass fishing — paddle tails, Ned rig profiles, wacky worms. At these prices, you can afford to stock multiple color variations without breaking the bank. Their current promotion of 30% off all freshwater lures makes stocking up even easier.

Shipping Experience

Every order has arrived well-packaged. The free international shipping policy is straightforward — no hidden handling fees or minimum spend thresholds. For anglers outside the US who struggle to find quality tackle locally without paying enormous import shipping costs, this is a significant advantage.

My Verdict

Pros: Extensive freshwater and saltwater catalog, great price point, free international shipping, solid lure quality and color selection, regular sale promotions.

Cons: Some niche specialty items can sell out quickly — check stock on color variants before committing to a trip plan.
